About the Author

Seductive Amoebae Buy here Andrew Foley Jones

Born and raised in Wales. Now living in Chester in England. Writing from an early age, ramblings in the form of poems and short stories finding their way into random publications. Seductive Amoebae was one such rambling that has evolved into the first novel.

Much of the early writing was conceived whilst living in Liverpool, the title evolving from an abstract painting. The book was then developed during travels in North America, Greece and Asia – all such extracts contained in rough handwritten notepads that have since been painstakingly transcended into the printed word.

Despite the obvious influences of the various destinations where the book has been written, the setting of the novel is nevertheless distinctly and purposefully anonymous.

The writer adores film, literature and sport.

In film, influences include Stanley Kubrick, Woody Allen and the Cohen Brothers but perhaps The Three Colours Trilogy by Krzysztof Kieslowski as the writers’ favourite cinematic work.

In literature, there is an eclectic mix, including John Kennedy Toole, Anthony Burgess, Will Self, Irvine Welsh, J D Salinger, Woody Allen, Brett Easton Ellis and from his native homeland, Dylan Thomas.

In sport, the writer is a passionate participant and spectator of football and also spends much time walking in the mountains.

Work is currently ongoing on a second, as yet, untitled novel.

Details will be announced in the near future.
